Henri EVENEPOEL
Henri Evenepoel (1872-1899) lived a very short life, dying of typhoid at age 27. Born in Belgium to a cultured father, and having lost his mother at a very young age, he made his way to the Parisian art world in 1892. He was mostly a painter, an impressionist, who is known as a printmaker for a composition titled Au Square, which he drew for the famous publication L’Estampe Moderne. He also designed a few lithographic posters, including one for the prestigious Salon des Cent.
