Hoehn was a painter and printmaker
whose career was primarily in California. His work is in the permanent
collections of the MOMA in New York, the Brooklyn Museum, the San
Francisco MOMA, The California Palace of the Legion of Honor and the
Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Educated in the arts at San Jose
State University and San Francisco State University where he earned an
MFA in graphic arts. He taught for 35 years, including two years as head
of the art department at the American School Foundation in Monterrey,
Mexico. He was affiliated with the Smith-Anderson Gallery in Palo Alto.
